Privacy Policy

EPT Guide is an app for tour guides working with Excursion Point Tourism LLC ("Excursion Point", "we", "us"). It is not open to the public: guide accounts are created by Excursion Point, and the app shows guides the pickups we assign to them. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used. • Guide account: your name, phone number and passcode, used only to sign you in. Your account is created and managed by Excursion Point; the app has no public sign-up.
• Location (only while sharing): when you tap Start on a pickup shift, the app sends your current location to our server about every 10 seconds while you move, including while the app is in the background, until you tap Stop or every guest in the shift is picked up. Only your latest position is kept. It is shown only to guests of that shift who are still waiting for pickup, on their private tracking link. Location is not collected at any other time.
• Pickup activity: when you mark a guest as picked up, no show or dropped off, and the time you did so, so the office can follow the trip.
• Activity report: after pickup, the guest can fill in the activity report on the guide's phone. Their answers and the WhatsApp number they confirm are saved with that report and used to send them a copy and a review link. The guest's original booking details are not changed.
• Photos and videos: photos and videos you choose from your gallery and upload in the app are stored with your name and the upload time, for use by Excursion Point on its social media. The app only reads the files you select; it does not scan your gallery.
• Notifications: to tell you when your pickups are released, the app registers your device with our push notification provider, linked to your guide account.
• On your phone: your sign-in session and app settings (for example which WhatsApp app to open) are stored on the device. The session is removed when you log out.

The app shows guides the details of guests they are picking up (name, phone number, pickup location and time, booked activities) so they can do the pickup. Guides must use this information only for the pickup and keep it confidential. Past trips show a summary only, without guest details.

• We do not sell or rent any data.
• We do not use the app's data for advertising, and the app does not track you across other apps or websites.
• The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics.

These companies process data on our behalf, only to run the app:

• OneSignal - delivers push notifications.
• WATI (WhatsApp Business messaging) - sends guests their activity report copy and review link on WhatsApp.
• Cloudflare - stores the photos and videos guides upload, and protects our servers.
• Our own servers, which store the guide account, pickup activity, activity reports and latest shared location.

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

• Your latest shared location is replaced by each new update and is marked as not shared when you stop.
• Pickup activity and activity reports are kept with the booking records, which we keep for up to 7 years for accounting and legal reasons.
• Uploaded photos and videos are kept until we delete them or you ask us to delete them.

• You can turn off location, notifications or photo access at any time in your phone's Settings. The related features then stop working.
• You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or to close your guide account - see Delete your account and data. Deleting a guide account does not delete booking records we must keep by law.

The app is for working tour guides aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
